Green Nightmare Nursery
Spring 2020
A work in progress ... At first it was meant to be a scary place to stay, but then the pandemic happened. Now it's a scary place to approach, but I think that inside there will be certain freedoms that liberate you from nightmares.

I'm using a Greenleaf Vineyard Cottage kit and distressing it--first painting it green, then overpainting with gray-black and rubbing it down to an aged look.
The sedate wallpaper in the entry room is by World Model; the green rose wallpaper in the dreamy part of the house is old art nouveau craft paper. I made floors out of thin, cheap coffee stirrer sticks (a thousand for four dollars!) and glass mosaic tiles (more expensive but so pretty).
The shingles had to be pointy and sharp (scary), but the moss softens them (and hides my mistakes, and is also fun to make with glue and fluff).

July 9, 2020: The outside is done and the inside is decorated ... I just don't want to put furniture inside. Can't figure out what belongs in a comforting spot in the midst of pandemonium ... Just know that the abandoned red wagon by the gnarled tree needs a hug.
